FLYING SAFARIS TO LEWA DOWNS
Fly from Nairobi to Lewa Downs. On arrival, you will
be met and transferred to the Lewa Tented Camp, in
the Lewa Downs Conservancy, where you will stay on
a Full Board basis. Morning and evening ‘Spice’
game drives in a 4 wheel drive safari vehicle give
you the chance to explore the surrounding area and
track down wildlife. The Lewa Tented camp consists
of a central cedar wood cottage, housing the dining
room, lounge and bar, while guest accommodation is
in tents on raised platforms and under thatched roofs.
Each tent has electric light, en-suite bathrooms and
large double beds. The camp over looks a floodlit
waterhole.
ITINERARY
Day 1. Nairobi- Lewa Downs
After breakfast at your Nairobi Hotel transfer you
to Wilson Airport and fly to Lewa Downs. A 45 minutes
flight takes you to Lewa Downs Game Reserve, one of
very few private ranches in the world where you can
see such a remarkable variety of wildlife and their
interaction with each other in a natural habitat.
While you are here, you may see everything from elephant
and rhino to dik dik, reticulated giraffe, eland,
hartebeest, gerenuk, warthog, impala, Grants gazelle,
Cape buffalo and bushbuck. In addition, two species
of zebra graze the plains: Burchells and the rare
Grevy. Lion, leopard and cheetah may be sighted plus,
the elusive and magnificent greater kudu. A 10 minutes
transfer from the airstrip will bring you t to the
Lewa Tented Camp arriving for lunch. An afternoon
‘Spice’ game drive is planned today. Overnight

Day 2 Explore Lewa Downs
A full day in Lewa with morning and afternoon ‘Spice
game drives. To see and photograph the animals you
may go on walks, horseback or camel expeditions, or
day and night game ‘Spice’ drives in custom
four-wheel-drive open-top vehicles. Our experienced
guides know all the best areas for spotting game and
enjoy sharing their knowledge with you. The horses
are well trained and patient, so even novice riders
may experience close encounters with the wildlife.

Day 3 Lewa Downs –Nairobi
An early morning ‘Spice’ game drive followed
by breakfast and then transfer to the airstrip for
your Air Kenya flight back to Wilson Airport. Upon
arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel residence
in Nairobi.
