Kenyan country side on Lake Victoria shores and offers
the ingredients of a restful stay.

10 – 15 guests at a time which means our staff

build cottages have hot running water, solar lights
and the oil lamps in the restaurant provide a rustic

Lodge & Spa provides a rustic bush spa to enable
you to pamper yourself fully. The professional spa therapists
have selected a number of treatments that will leave
you relaxed and rejuvenated upon departure. Most of
the treatments make use of the health benefits of green
tea.
Green tea benefits:
Green
tea is known for its detoxifying properties. Green tea
is a source of antioxidants, and these have been identified
as helping to prevent skin cell damage. Some research
indicates that green tea helps mitigate the effects
of UV exposure, as well. No wonder that we often use
green tea in our treatments.

Tea Foot Bath & Massage (1,800

This
treatment takes 40 minutes. Our spa therapist
will prepare a warm sea salt and green tea footbath
which will nourish your feet for 20 minutes.
Whilst
you are soaking your feet the therapist will
give you a back massage to relax your shoulders
and back. After 20 minutes your feet and lower
legs will be massaged whilst you are served
with green tea.

This
traditional massage is renowned for its muscle
relaxing effects. Especially designed for
our guests who have recently experienced the
rough Kenyan roads. This is a full body massage
which takes about 60 minutes.
Just
before the massage our spa therapist will
ask you if you have any injuries which need
to be avoided whilst she will serve you with
a cup of green tea. The back massage will
take about 30 minutes.

are the words of Dr. H. Muktar PhD, of Case
Western Reserve University, in Cleveland,
Ohio, where research into the benefits of
green tea has been ongoing.
These
studies have suggested that green tea has
both anti-inflammatory and anti-carcinogenic
properties that may be useful in treating
skin disorders. It has also been suggested
that green tea may help slow down skin aging.
That
is why Kisindi Lodge & Spa is one of the
first Kenyan Spa’s to offer Green tea
baths. You will soak for 30 minutes in a warm
bath with green tea and sea salt. An ideal
preparation for a massage. Due to the climate
you might find it most enjoyable after 5 pm.

restaurant building.
During your stay you
can enjoy leisure walks through the surrounding farm
lands which, upon request, can be combined with a cultural
visit to a neighboring fishing village.
For our more adventurous
guests a 3 hour hike through the Homa Hills will sound
appealing, sun downer cruises and our wealth of spa
treatments will assure you leave rested and recuperated.
