Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge is situated in Tsavo West National Park close to the Mtito Andei Gate which is 260 kilometers South East of Nairobi and 240 kilometers North East of Mombasa on the Nairobi - Mombasa highway. Transfers by road from Nairobi take approximately 3 hours.

Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge is the first lodge ever to be built in a Kenyan National Park and is superbly situated in the lee of Mount Kilimanjaro, encircled by volcanic splendor, adjacent to a teeming water hole and daily visited by vast herds of elephant, buffalo and plains game.

Tsavo National Park has been a part of world history for over a hundred 100 years. Tsavo's "brand recognition" came after the story about "The man eaters of Tsavo", portrayed in the movie Ghost and Darkness played by Val Kilmer and Michael Douglas, displaying the abundance of fierce lions.

Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge has 56 rooms, of which 51 are standard rooms and 5 Suites; (all non-smoking) have their own verandas, some overlooking the waterhole, some the Chyulu Hills, which are one of the world's youngest volcanic ranges.

Kilaguni’s waterhole is considered to offer the finest terraced savannah game viewing in Kenya, and at night you can listen to the sounds of herds of buffalo and elephant grazing outside your bedroom.

Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge offers many activities to keep you busy including game drives in 4x4 safari vehicles and bush walks accompanied by the resident naturalist, sundowners, bush dinners, tribal dances, excursions to Mzima Springs with its crystal clear water, hippos and crocodiles, visiting The Rhino Sanctuary and climbing the Chaimu Crater.

There's also the option of just lazing by the pool or treating yourself to a luxurious body treatment or picking up some souvenirs in the extensively stocked Africana Gift Shop. There is a rock paved swimming pool in the lush gardens and games to keep children occupied.

Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge tasty meals are prepared by professionally trained chefs and are taken in the open air restaurant where you can enjoy uninterrupted views of the Mt Kilimanjaro and the plains of the national park.
