The camp is situated along the banks of the Mara River, right in the heart of the Masai Mara Game Reserve, with the best game viewing right on your doorstep.

Governors’ IL Moran Camp small and intimate safari camp with added touches that make this the top of the range safari accommodation. Governors’ IL Moran Camp is widely regarded as the premiere camp in the Masai Mara. The camp is hidden under ancient trees, deep in the forest, are just 10 tents. They line the winding banks of the Mara River. You’ll be the personal guest of IL Moran's manager, who’ll look after all your needs. Game drives and game walks are included in the rate and complimentary wine is served with dinner.

Governors’ IL Moran Camp 10 double suite safari tents are very spacious and luxurious and all are under canvas, each with private verandah (extra beds can be added if necessary). The tents have en-suite bathrooms with bath, large shower, twin basins, flush toilet, running cold and hot water. The rooms are fitted with Gas & Paraffin lamps. The Camp has an open bar and a Restaurant (dining tent) with a stunning view over the Mara River. Every morning while on safari you have the choice of having room service (on request), tea and coffee is served in the tents with the morning wake up call. Should you wish to have a bush meal, bush breakfast, lunch & dinner can be organized on request at a supplementary cost. Laundry facilities are available daily at no extra cost.

Mfangano Island Camp on Lake Victoria
Governors’ IL Moran Camp offers day excursions to Lake Victoria by light aircraft. Bird watching, boat rides, walking and fishing are available on Lake Victoria. Excursion with overnight at Mfangano Island Camp is highly recommended (booking prior to the trip advisable) (These excursions are an additional cost).
