The Funzi Keys; Funzi Key is at Funzi Island, off the Kenya coast at the mouth of the Ramisi River, between Diani and Shimoni. It is a 15-minute charter flight from Mombasa, or 2 hours by road and boat.

The Funzi Keys´ unique appeal is its luxurious seclusion and beautiful natural scenery. Surrounded by water and superbly located on a west-facing beach with glorious views of the African sunset, this remote and exclusive hideaway is the perfect place to escape from the outside world in style. Funzi Keys lodge is the brainchild of a charming Swiss Alessandro Torriani, who imparts a wonderfully relaxed ambience to the place with his delightfully self-deprecating sense of humor and easy hospitality.

Funzi Keys hotel is designed to blend unobtrusively with its idyllic beachfront setting and to reflect the influence of the local culture and coastal architecture, the accommodation consists of ten spacious cottages set along the high-water line and constructed of stone and thatch with large netted windows open to the balmy sea breezes. Each of the individually designed rooms has a hand carved king-sized four-poster bed and is furnished with local wooden artifacts and colorful fabrics plus a Jacuzzi with spectacular sea view! All Funzi Keys hotel cottages are provided with fans, safes and beach accessories in the oversized bathroom. In front of each cottage is private sitting areas where a campfire is lit each night and guests can enjoy a drink and watch the sun go down in total privacy.

At the heart of The Funzi Keys is the informal yet stylish main building, where guests can relax and enjoy refreshing drinks served from the dhow-shaped bar or sample delicious island fare featuring freshly caught seafood and locally grown fruits and vegetables in the upper-level restaurant that overlooks the water. Funzi Keys lodge holiday price includes all food and drink (except champagne).

Life at The Funzi Keys is relaxed and many guests do little more than unwind on the wooden deck of the free-form pool with a drink while watching the local fishing dhows sail by. But for more energetic guests it is possible to enjoy sailing, creek fishing, snorkeling, windsurfing and canoeing or perhaps take a boat trip up the Ramisi River or Funzi Creek for an unforgettable glimpse of kingfishers, crocodiles and even dolphins! Funzi Keys Lodge is an excellent base for deep-sea fishing and scuba diving in the Pemba Channel, which can be arranged and paid for locally.
