Fisherman’s
Camp Naivasha is situated
on the shores of Lake Naivasha, within the spectacular
Great Rift Valley of Kenya. The
spacious camp extends from under a beautiful canopy
of acacia trees up into the hills where you can enjoy
breathtaking views of the lake and surrounding areas.
Fisherman's Camp is a great base for your Kenyan experience,
with its beautiful campsite and comfortable bandas.
Lake Naivasha is one of the few fresh water lakes in
the Kenya Rift Valley, which is situated at an altitude
of 6,200 feet. Beyond the lake sits the Kinangop and
Aberdare mountains, which reach up to 13,000 feet.
Behind
the surrounding hills of the camp lies Hell’s
Gate National Park, which is rich in game, geology and
beautiful scenery. Further down South Lake Road is Crater
Lake, home to a large stand of flamingo which can be
seen circling the water’s edge.
Fisherman’s
Camp Naivasha is situated on two levels, with a range
of accommodation options to suit a variety of budgets.
Bottom Camp offers camping, banda and dormitory accommodation,
which is set on the beautiful green lawns at the water’s
edge.
The
camp has toilets and washing facilities and tents are
also available for hire. Candalabra Camp
has a range of bandas and cottages, from basic to self
catering, with spectacular views of the lake 200 feet
below.
Fisherman's provides every luxury to make your camping
as comfortable as possible with tents and mattresses
for hire all you need is to turn up, piping hot shower
awaits you arrival, and clean flushing toilets. The
camp is within the electric fence, which keeps hippos
as a safe viewing distance.

Camp Kenya has 5 bandas. Bandas are Kenya's equivalent
to small chalets providing the comfort of a real good
nigh sleep. Each Banda is equipped with bedding and
towels. Basic cooking utensils and a charcoal stove
can be hired from the office.
Topi Camp has Banda
1, Banda 2, Banda 3, Banda 4 and Banda 8. Each banda
takes 2 guests ( except Banda 4 Which can accommodate
4 Guests) The cost per person in each Banda is 900 Kenya
Shillings bed only.

Fisherman’s
Camp Naivasha bar and restaurant is a place to relax
and have a cold drink whilst watching the black and
white colobus monkeys or the changing colors of the
lake. Fisherman’s well
known and well reputed restaurant has a selection of
delicious dishes to suit all tastes. Some of our best
sellers are:

Fisherman’s
Camp Naivasha also

Breakfast and snacks are served all day. The camp is
happy to cater for group meals and have a range of options
at very reasonable prices.

on offer within easy reach of Fisherman’s Camp.
Hell’s Gate and Longonot National Parks, Crater
Lake and Crescent Island game sanctuaries all offer
wonderful opportunities to see game by foot, bike or
vehicle.
If
you plan to stay for a while, lakes Nakuru and Elementaita
and the Mau and Aberdare mountains are all within easy
day trips. Fisherman’s Camp itself has a wealth
of wildlife and beautiful scenery which can easily occupy
a relaxing day.
