SERENA FAMILY SAFARI IN TANZANIA

 

Tanzania is the Africa we see in our minds, long before we visit … landscapes of open rolling plains, flat topped Acacia trees, rocky kopjes on the horizon and the silhouette of a passing giraffe as the sun sinks in a seemingly huge sky.

This exciting safari takes you through some of the most dramatic and picturesque areas of Tanzania and Serena Lodges provide a luxury African safari experience at an affordable . You begin with a day's game viewing in Lake Manyara National Park, famed for its tree-climbing lions, colorful bird life and giant herds of buffalo and elephant. Then travel on to the majestic Ngorongoro Crater, one of Tanzania's most stunning natural landmarks. From here we visit Olduvai Gorge, with its ages of fossils and continue on to the legendary Serengeti National Park.

 

Day 1 Arusha – Lake Manyara
Drive from Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park for your overnight stay at the Serena Lodge.

 

Day2/3 Manyara- Ngorongoro Crater
After a morning game drive at Lake Manyara continue on to the Crater rim for your two night stay at the Ngorongoro Serena Lodge. You will spend some quality time on a ‘Spice’ game driving in the Crater.

 

Day4 /5 Ngorongoro- Serengeti National Park
Leaving the rim of the Crater and driving to the west the landscape flattens out as you reach the vast plains of the Serengeti. Stop en route to visit Olduvai Gorge, famed for its fossil finds, before continuing on to the lodge, a game drive in itself. There will be morning and evening ‘Spice’ game drives in the Serengeti National Park.

 

Day 6 Serengeti- Arusha
Morning transfer to Seronera Airstrip for a flight back to Arusha, transfer to the town centre, arriving around noon.

The safari operates with a minimum of 2 passengers

If Serena Lodges are fully booked we may use Sopa Lodges at Ngorongoro Crater and in the Serengeti, you will be advised at the time of booking.

 

The Serena Safari in Tanzania is inclusive of

• Road travel in a safari microbus with English speaking driver / guide
  
• 1 night Lake Manyara Serena Lodge with all meals and game viewing activities
  
• 2 Nights Ngorongoro Crater Serena Lodge with all meals and full day Crater game viewing
  
• 2 Nights Serengeti Serena Lodge with all meals and game viewing
  
• Regional Air scheduled flight from Serengeti to Arusha
