WILDLIFE AND WHITESANDS FAMILY SAFARI.
Kenya offers great value safaris and combines the
best of African game viewing with affordable luxury
lodges. Travel is by road and along the way you will
have the opportunity to stop at small villages and
markets. Heading north your first night is spent at
Mountain Lodge in the Aberdare National Park in the
shadow of Mount Kenya - Africa's second highest peak
after Kilimanjaro. Then it is through to Samburu Reserve,
a rugged region that is home to unusual species such
as Grevy zebra and reticulated giraffe, as well as
Oryx, gerenuk, Somali ostrich and dik-dik. Elephant,
lion, cheetah and leopard are also resident and are
regularly seen on morning and evening game drives.
Turning south, spend a night at Lake Nakuru where
you will enjoy the spectacular scenery of the Great
Rift Valley. The last 2 Days of game viewing are spent
in the Masai Mara. Considered to be the best of Kenya's
wildlife areas, the Mara is the northern end of the
Serengeti Ecosystem, and is the pathway of the yearly
wildebeest migration from. The fertile Mara plains
sustain an enormous amount of game and are home to
the Masai people.
From here it is off to the coast to experience the
charm of the Swahili people, the great beaches, delicious
seafood and lazy lifestyle that will end your holiday
perfectly!!
Day 1 Nairobi Holiday inn
On arrival in Nairobi you will be met and transferred
to the comfortable Mountain Lodge in teh Aberdare
National Park, for your overnight stay.
Day 2 Nairobi- Aberdare National Park
Depart Nairobi with your driver/guide in a safari
minibus and arrive at Mountain Tree-Lodge in time
for lunch and your overnight stay. In this unique
forest setting enjoy game viewing from the hide and
the lodge.
Day3/4 Mountain Lodge – Samburu National
Reserve.
A morning drive brings you to Mount Kenya National
Park where your overnight stay will be at Mountain
Lodge. In this unique forest setting enjoy guided
walks, waterhole views from your room and spending
time in the hide (reached by a tunnel) on the edge
of the salt lick.
Day 5 Lake Nakuru Lion Hill
Morning departure to Lake Nakuru for your overnight
stay at Lion Hill Lodge - this very beautiful Rift
Valley National Park offers one of the world's greatest
ornithological spectacles & is a good place to
see rhino.
Day 6/7 Lake Nakuru- Masai Mara National
Reserve
The drive in to the Masai Mara will take most of the
morning but you arrive in time for a late lunch and
afternoon game drive. Spending 2 Nights at Mara Serena
Lodge will give you plenty of time to explore this
marvelous & wildlife rich Game Reserve.
Day 8/9/10 Masai Mara- Kenya Coast Whitesands
Beach Hotel
Morning drive to Nairobi, and transfer to the Airport
for your flight to the Coast - kick back and enjoy
delicious seafood and the lazy lifestyle of the Swahili
coast. For the active there are swimming pools, a
health club, tennis courts and golf and water sports
can be arranged.
Day 11 Mombasa- Nairobi.
Transfer to Mombasa Airport for the flight to Nairobi,
which will be timed to connect with your onward flight.
