Emakoko Boutique Lodge Nairobi

The Emakoko is a boutique lodge uniquely positioned on the edge of the Nairobi National Park. The lodge borders the Nairobi National Park a mere 20-minute transfer from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and Wilson Airport in Nairobi city.

The drive through the park itself, with its beautiful scenery and abundance of plains game, is a superb way to start any East African safari.  The lodge is family-owned and runs a lodge artfully built into the side of a valley on the Mbagathi River.

Emakoko has 10 en-suite rooms, 5 on the top of the cliff and 5 at the bottom. The newly built cliff-top private house has 2 en-suite bedrooms, a shared living area, and its own private pool. 

The Emakoko offers an exclusive and personal environment for the guests to enjoy. Five rooms are situated at the main level and five are built into the cliff face higher up. The room designs and interiors are designed for comfort, from huge, luxurious beds to black-out curtains. Each room has its own private veranda.

The African-themed rooms at The Emakoko look out over the Nairobi National Park. They are equipped with a seating area, fireplace, and a wooden deck. The beds are draped with a mosquito net.

The lodge features a restaurant and has an outdoor pool, overlooking the river bordering the Nairobi National Park. Guests can enjoy a cocktail in the viewing area or browse through the locally crafted souvenirs at the gift shop. Massages can also be arranged.

The Lodge has a helipad and can organize helicopter tours to Mount Kenya or to the Masai Mara game reserve. Offering direct access to the National Park, guests can go on guided game drives in a land cruiser.

The lodge offers an all-inclusive experience; guests of The Emakoko have limitless game drives along with airport transfers to and from the lodge. The Nairobi National Park, despite its proximity to the capital city of Kenya, boasts a spectacular assortment of birds and wildlife, with over 400 species of birds recorded and excellent possibilities of spotting four of the Big Five.

2024 Emakoko Boutique Lodge Nairobi Accommodation Rates Per Night Include;

Full board accommodation (lunch, dinner, and breakfast) + Soft drinks, local beers, non-premium wines, and spirits + Laundry + Statutory taxes + Airport transfers Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) and/or Wilson Airport – minimum 4 pax guarantees exclusive use of a vehicle for game drives + Two game drives per day in Nairobi National Park and excursions to Giraffe Centre / the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust (time permitting) – Bookings and entrance charges for excursions to be paid directly

Day Rooms Include: Lunch, dinner, non-luxury drinks, one game drive or Karen/ Langata excursion, and shared transfers to/from JKIA or Wilson airport. Transfer collection time for day rooms is 11:00 AM/ latest drop-off time before 21:00pm. Day Room check-out time: 18:00 PM. Private House no day rooms.
