Elsa’s Kopje luxury lodge; Elsa’s Kopje luxury Camp is located within Meru National Park (390 Km's from Nairobi) - northeast of Nairobi (7 miles north of the Equator) and about 5 hours of driving from Nairobi. Schedule flight from Nairobi takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Elsa’s Kopje luxury lodge is stylishly and competently run, and the standard of cuisine is very good. You can enjoy walks, drives during the day in open vehicles and night drives when you can expect to see nocturnal creatures, such as honey badger, porcupine and even aardvark. You could also try a spot of fishing. Elsa’s Kopje is almost invisible to the eye as you approach its home on Mughwango Hill. It blends into the rocky crags of the “kopje” (small hill), built above the site of George Adamson’s original campsite. Every cottage is the ultimate ‘room-with-a-view’, uniquely designed and crafted, incorporating the natural features of the rocky hillside.

Elsa’s Kopje remains one of the most elegant lodges in Africa, with one of the most spectacular settings. Meru National Park one of the best parks to view rhino in their natural habitat in Kenya. Meru National Park is located east of Mount Kenya, and because it receives good rainfall it has attractive bush vegetation and a number of rivers. There is long grass, riverine forests and beautiful tall doum palms. The area is home to unusual species such as reticulated giraffe, grevy's zebra and gerenuk as well as a good range of plains game, elephant, lion and cheetah, and over 300 bird species.

* Afternoon departures: each guest pays 25% of the per person rate for departures after 1200 Hours

* Honeymoon Suite: Honeymooners Suite is for 2 person per day and any additional person will be changed the applicable rate for Adult / Child up to a maximum of 4 Guests

* Private House: Private house rate is per day (maximum number of Guest is 6) and any additional person will be charged at the applicable rate for Adult /Child

Elsa’s Kopje Luxury Camp Accommodation

Elsa’s Kopje’s open-fronted cottages offer a very elegant safari style all shaped into the curves of Mughwango rock, and overlooking the vast plains of Meru National Park.

8 En-suite cottages: Has 7 Doubles and 1 twin. Each cottage consists of a main bedroom, en suite bathroom (some have outdoor baths) and private deck. Please note that Cottage 3 has a private sitting room rather than deck. 4 rooms can fit one extra bed, to accommodate children under the age of 16 years only. There is an open bar, lounge and dining room with an exceptionally inviting infinity pool overlooking the Meru plains.

Elsa’s Private House is a spacious, stylish, exclusive hideaway set slightly apart from the main lodge. It has 1 double room and 1 twin, both with their own en suite bathrooms. There is a large private living and dining area, leading seamlessly outdoors into a private garden and swimming pool. The Private house can fit two extra beds. Maximum of 4 extra beds in camp at any one time, to accommodate children under 16years only

Elsa’s Honeymoon Suite is a triple level room, with a sitting room, double bedroom and en suite bathroom. With its breathtaking views, this latest addition is definitely Elsa’s 'pride'! The Honeymoon suite and Cottage 3 can both convert their sitting rooms into twin bedrooms (suitable for children under 16).
