Elsa's Kopje Camp Flying Safari; Elsa's Kopje Camp Flying Safari takes you to Meru National Park. Your accommodations will be at Elsa's Kopje - set in the untamed wilderness of Meru National Park. Named after Elsa the lioness of 'Born Free' fame, Elsa's Kopje lodge is invisible to the eye as you approach the Kopjes. George Adamson's original campsite was located nearby. Because it is the only operational lodge in Meru National Park, Elsa's guests have the entire park to themselves. Elsa's Kopje has a special license for walking Safaris, fishing and conducting night Game Drives. The peak of Mughwango Hill where Elsa's Kopje lodge is located looks down over Meru National Park giving a full 360 degree view of the plains and volcanic landscape.

Elsa's Kopje Lodge 9 individually built cottages are well appointed and designed to incorporate the natural features of the rocky hillside. The cottages are spacious and have double or twin beds, with en-suite bathrooms. There is an open bar area, lounge and dining room where guests can relax. The infinity pool overlooks the Meru National Park plains.

Elsa's Kopje activities available here include game drives in 4-wheel drive vehicles, night game drives and guided bush walks. Regular sightings include Beisa Oryx, Gerenuk, Elephant, Grevy’s Zebra, Reticulated Giraffe, Lesser Kudu, Grant’s Gazelle, Leopard, Lion, Cheetah, Rhino and the rare, elusive Greater Kudu. Meru is also famous for its bird life. Day excursions can be taken to the Tana River and visits to the local Tharaka village can be arranged. Soft drinks, beer, house wines and non-luxury spirits are included. There is a limited laundry service.

* Afternoon departures: each guest pays 25% of the per person rate for departures after 1200 Hours

* Honeymoon Suite: Honeymooners Suite is for 2 person per day and any additional person will be changed the applicable rate for Adult / Child up to a maximum of 4 Guests

* Private House: Private house rate is per day (maximum number of Guest is 6) and any additional person will be charged at the applicable rate for Adult /Child
