Colobus Cottages Riverside Nanyuki

Colobus Cottages Riverside Nanyuki is situated on the banks of the Burgeret River overlooking private woodland, on the foothills of Mount Kenya. The Cottages are located off Naro Moru – Nanyuki road, approximately 17 km from Nanyuki and 2 km down from the main road. 

The riverside setting is home to abundant birdlife, Sykes and colobus monkeys, bush babies, tree hyrax, otters, bushbuck, and the occasional passing aardvark. A four-wheel drive is essential in the rainy seasons!

Colobus Cottages Riverside Nanyuki has 2- and 3-bedroom cottages all fully serviced sleeping a maximum of 16 guests.  Each cottage has its own garden or deck, a gas burner, and grill for barbecue, and a well-equipped kitchen with cooking utensils and crockery.

The 2 bedroomed cottages accommodate 4 guests each and the 3 bedroomed cottages accommodate 6 guests.  Guests have the option of cooking for themselves or having the meals prepared for them. Larger groups can use the main kitchen and restaurant area.

For self-catering guests, each cottage is equipped with a gas burner and grill, BBQ, all cooking utensils, and crockery. The cottages are solar-powered and do not have a fridge, so please bring a cool box and ice.

All those tourist attractions areas are within an hour’s drive from the cottages.

Other activities guests can enjoy include walking safaris, bird watching, trout fishing, and picnics on the moorlands of Mount Kenya.
