Camp Carnelley’s is located on Lake Naivasha in enchanting Kenya about 1.5 hour journey from Nairobi to Naivasha in the East African Rift Valley. The camp is owned and managed by Crissy and Lovat Carnelley and is the nicest budget accommodation in the area.

Camp Carnelley’s is not just a campsite but has it all from accommodation, "Lazybones" bar and restaurant, onsite activities and custom excursions. Camp Carnelley’s offer a wide range of different accommodation including traditional camping, cottage's, banda's and dormitories all located right on Lake Naivasha.

Camp Carnelley’s Banda's sleep up to 6 in comfort with an En-Suite bathroom. The Camp provides bedding, blankets, lamps & mosquito nets. There is also a private garden equipped with outside garden furniture. The perfect choice for a party of two is Camp Carnelley’s Cottages.

The Cottages sleep two in absolute comfort. The large Banda's are fully furnished with bedding, blankets, lamps and nets.

You may want to sleep under canvas on the campsite or maybe prefer to stay in one of the beautiful rustic twin rooms, perfect for families. Camp Carnelley’s Campsite is fully equipped. It has plenty of powerful steaming hot showers and clean flushing toilets.

There is a great view of the lake wherever you are situated in the camp. Pitch a tent; you can't get any closer to nature then sleeping under the stars, listening to the sounds of Africa. Or maybe opt to stay in one of the dormitories that can sleep up to eight in comfort. With steaming hot showers, clean toilets and fresh water to hand this is what we call at Camp Carnelley's as hassle free camping.

The dormitories are very comfortable and basic bedding & sheets are provided. Don't forget "Lazy Bones" bar & restaurant for breakfast.

* The bar & restaurant is open for food from 0700 Hours until 2130 Hours and the bar opens until later for drinks
* There are plenty of clean hot showers and clean flush toilets spread throughout the camp and there are tables with shelter and taps located around the camp in order to make life easy for guests who are cooking when it is raining
* Camp Carnelley’s also does special catering for big groups or parties who can request Barbeques, curry lunches etc

Camp Carnelley’s Lazybones Bar & Restaurant

Camp Carnelley’s Lazybones bar is a fabulous eco-bar and restaurant decorated with lots of plants, big colorful cushions and hammocks. There is also a great selection of music and an ideal place to lie down, relax and read. The restaurant is known to produce some of the best food around the lake.

All meals are extremely healthy in portion at very affordable prices. There is normally buffet lunch served at weekends. Most refreshments are available from smoothies to fresh juices cocktails, beers and liquors etc

After your meal you can enjoy some live music or visit the games room for a game of pool. We also have Satellite T. V. so you will not miss that all important sports event. Live music, Satellite T. V, Games Room.

If you are looking for some competitive or relaxed fun the games room is fully equipped with a darts board and pool table with a great view of the camp. We have awesome competitions here regularly.

Camp Carnelley's is situated right on the lake there is no shortage of water related sports and activities, Boating, Fishing, Bird Watching, From enjoying a relaxing boat ride on Lake Naivasha where you can see some of the local wildlife which includes Hippos, Buffalo, Fish Eagles, Pelicans and much more. Adrenaline junkie's paradise for Wake boarding and Water skiing.

Visit Hells Gate National Park, The green Crater Lake reserve or maybe climb Mount Longonot. See Buffalo, Giraffe, Baboons, Eland, Klipspringer, Hartebeest, Thompson's Gazelle and sometimes Leopard and Cheetah.
