6 Days Maasai Mara to Lake Nakuru, Bogoria and Baringo

Package Introduction
This 'spice' safari takes us South through the Rift Valley to Maasai Mara
where the largest concentration of game in Kenya is found. Then back north to the remote lakes Bogoria and Baringo, a bird watchers and naturalist paradise.

 

Day 1: Nairobi to Maasai Mara
Depart Nairobi for a journey south along the floor of the Great Rift Valley. Lunch served en-route, and then past Narok climb the western wall entering Hemmingway's country "Serengeti plains". Arrive late afternoon in the Maasai Mara Game Reserve. Game drive on arrival. Dinner and overnight at the camp/lodge.


Day 2: Maasai Mara
Full day spent in search of Elephant, Zebra, Wildebeest, Rhino, Buffalo,
Lion, Cheetah, Leopard and other plains game. All meals and overnight at the base camp /lodge.

 

Day 3: Maasai Mara
Full day game viewing in the Mara with an optional nature walk of a visit to a nearby Maasai village in between the meals breaks. Dinner and overnight at the camp /lodge. (Please note that the visit to the Maasai village is at extra cost.)

 

Day 4: Maasai Mara to Nakuru
After breakfast leave the camp /lodge and depart for Nakuru. Lunch is served en-route. Lake Nakuru is renowned for its large variety of world famous birds. It's possible to see other game such as Rhino, Waterbuck, Impala, Buffalo and Gazelle in the surrounding gardens. Dinner and overnight at the budget hotel/lodge.

 

Day 5: Lake Nakuru to Lake Baringo
Morning spent viewing game at Lake Nakuru and in the afternoon proceed to Lake Baringo. We do organize a boat trip to view the many birds which inhabit this lake. Dinner and overnight at the camp /lodge.

 

Day 6: Lake Bogoria to Nairobi
Explore on foot this natural lake and view the Flamingos in their thousands. Caution must be taken while walking near the hot springs as these are super hot. After lunch depart for Nairobi via Nakuru arriving in the late afternoon.
