House Lamu Dining
Amber
House Lamu excellent
resident chef, Mohammed, comes highly recommended. Mohammed
not only uses fresh produce available on the day but
he makes meals that will suit everyone. Traditional
Coastal Swahili dishes are Mohammed’s specialty,
indulge yourself in the Zanzibar Fish Soup, Ginger Crab
& Swahili Fish Curry with Fresh Coconut.
Western dishes, specialty
meals and our range of children’s meals will have
them sitting at the table before you ask! If you have
special dietary needs Mohammed is more than happy to
meet these.
In
respect of ancient Swahili traditional alcohol is subtly
tolerated within the community. There are numerous establishments
throughout who serve wine, beer and spirits to suit
your taste. At Amber House we ask that you bring your
own wine and spirits and Mohammed can arrange beer and
sodas locally.
