4 Days/ 3 Nights Queen Elizabeth & Bwindi Forest Gorilla Safari takes you to Bwindi Impenetrable forest were you will be highly inspired by the sight of the giant mountain gorillas. Later visit Queen Elizabeth National Park – the world’s most biodiversity wildlife sanctuary featuring climbing lions, leopard, hippos, elephants, buffaloes not forgetting the beautiful launch cruise along Kazinga channel.

Queen Elizabeth National Park is often referred to as “the Pearl of Africa” and is extremely scenic featuring two beautiful lakes overlooked by an elevated peninsula.

Located in western Uganda, it is home to roughly 100 different types of mammals and approximately 600 various bird species. One can be sure to spot various buffalo, giant forest hogs, warthogs, rare aquatic sitatunga antelope, horned Uganda kob, waterbuck, leopard, topi, and elephant.

However, this Park doesn’t contain any giraffe, impala, zebra, or rhinos. The Ishasha area of the Park is home to a very unique predator, the tree-climbing lions, whose males have black manes.

Be sure to visit the Kasinga Channel as it is home to world’s largest concentration of hippos. Taking a relaxing boat ride on the Channel is a popular attraction and a great way to see the hippos! In addition, the sunset over the water is supposed to be spectacular.

Some other attractions include the Kyambura Gorge, which is a rich tropical forest with thick treetop canopies where you will be sure to spot several chimpanzees. The Maramagambo Forest is also home to many chimpanzees and other various monkey species.

The Park is home to many rare and odd bird species, attracting bird watchers from all over the world. Amongst the rare breeds is the whale-headed stork standing more than a meter tall.

The thick, rainforest environment, Bwindi Impenetrable forest in the Virunga Volcanoes mountain range is most famous for being the home to half of the world’s populations of endangered Mountain Guerillas.

Whether you are a guerilla-lover or not, the experience of encountering such animals is said to be one of the most emotional wildlife adventures you will ever have. In addition, the forest’s unique eco-system has been named a World Heritage Site.

Walking through the Bwindi Impenetrable forest is tricky, as you will find steep, slippery valleys as well as high ridges amongst thick vegetation as the forest is at least 25,000 years old. The Bwindi Forest is known to be exceptionally cold during the mornings and at night so it is recommended to bring along warm weather gear plus wet weather attire as it frequently rains in the area.

The bio diversity in Bwindi Impenetrable forest is impeccable as it provides a home for over 310 species of butterfly, 200 trees, 88 moths, 120 species of mammals including 10 species of primates, and 51 reptiles.
