Crater camping comes in form of public campsites and
private campsites all located at the rim of the crater.
The campsites don't have facilities and the African
Spice Safaris carry everything require for camping purposes.
Hot
showers are available, heated by wood fires. The campsite
has modern toilet and shower facilities, covered area
for breakfast and dinner and rangers patrolling the
park 24 hours per day.
It
is possible to visit the lodge bars and restaurants
after dark, but we advice you drive with caution, as
many animals move through the area at night. Views points
of the crater are only a short walk away and are absolutely
stunning. It has a beautiful tree in a very nice landscape.
It
is common for elephants to visit the campsite to drink
water from the water reservatories. Wild animals from
the crater and Serengeti as far as from other part of
Ngorongoro conservation Area frequently visit the campsite
which is not fenced, you should move with caution.
The
campsite can become fairly cold (from an African perspective)
and sometimes noisy at night. Our cook will place you
tent in the area where you will be comfortable and easily
reached.
He
will also take care of your belongings while you are
in game drive. We will provide camping equipments as
far as extra sleeping bag just in case you forget yours.
Simba Campsite (public campsite) is a shared campsite
so you should expect other people from deferent company.

Itinerary
Day
1: Arusha - Drive to Ngorongoro
0830
Hours - After breakfast from your hotel, depart Arusha
and head to Ngorongoro Crater by road with designated
photo-shoot stops of the scenic caldera floor and surrounding
plains. With picnic lunch, descend into the crater for
entire day game drive. Break for lunch at Ngoitoktok
springs picnic site.
Later
proceed to Ngorongoro Simba Campsite which is located
on the crater rim. Dinner and overnight at Simba Campsite.

2: Explore Ngorongoro Crater
0630 - 0730 Hours : Breakfast and depart with picnic
lunch for a full day crater tour, Explore the crater
which home to a thriving and abundant concentration
of resident wild game. Picnic lunch at crater floor
at Ngoitoktok springs picnic site.
Ngorongoro
is the only place one would expect for sure to see the
endangered rhino. Not only does the crater sustain a
plethora of animals it also offers colorful birds of
all sorts. Return to the campsite for dinner and overnight.
